The Brody's purchased their first horse at a sale in Saratoga, NY––a filly they named “Manhattan Gal” in hopes that their Angus success would be repeated in the thoroughbred world. She went on to win $150,000, including stakes races, launching the Brodys into the winners’ circle.

The Brody’s success continued into their breeding program, which got off to a fast start, in their first crop, with the birth of Master Digby, a colt who went on to have a spectacular racing career, with total earnings of $257,368.
