Since Jerry and Marlene Brody established their thoroughbred operation in 1978, Gallagher’s Stud has been committed to producing and developing outstanding racers–racers that are destined to become champions on the track in the U.S. as well as abroad. Our cummulative earnings, to date, are more than $21,000,000.

The Brody’s purchased their first horse at a sale in Saratoga, NY––a filly they named “Manhattan Gal” in hopes that their Angus success would be repeated in the thoroughbred world. She went on to win $150,000, including stakes races, launching the Brodys into the winners’ circle.

The Brody’s success continued into their breeding program, which got off to a fast start with the birth of Master Digby, a colt who went on to have a spectacular racing career, with total earnings of $257,368.
